This little guy guards our kitchen. He was made by paper-mache artist Joel Garcia. In order to hang him up, I stripped wire out of a pair of headphones that just died. I was worried that string would be too weak and the only other wire I had wasn't pliable enough. Thank Brian for that idea, and most of the stripping.
Some film reels that somebody was throwing out. Now they're art! The best kind of art, FREE!
Kitchen shelf- the little box has a preserved beetle in it. Also, note the tiny cheese grater in front of the regular grater (left behind by Maris and Joe). I liked how they had little toys all over the apartment. I want that tradition to live on.
